Abilene, Texas
Bandag is the business of Bridgestone dedicated to the research, development and manufacturing of premium retread tires. The Bandag plant in Abilene has been in operation for more than 50 years, producing tread rubber and retreading materials for Bandag dealers.

Akron, Ohio
In 2022, Bridgestone celebrated the grand opening of its new Advanced Tire Production Center (ATPC) in Akron, Ohio. Home to expert tire builders and manufacturing professionals, the ATPC manufactures all Firestone Firehawk race tires for the NTT INDYCAR® SERIES. The ATPC continues a legacy of tire manufacturing in Akron that began with the founding of the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in 1900. Located across the street from the Bridgestone Americas Technology Center, the 80,000 square-foot ATPC features state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies to advance innovation in race tires.

The Muncie plant is a gray iron foundry and machine shop owned by Bridgestone Bandag since 1994. Muncie produces cast iron and steel machined flat tread molds for the retread rubber producing facilities, as well as expanding rims and hub assemblies for retread dealer shops.

The Firestone Airide plant and distribution center in Dyersburg, Tennessee produces stamped metal plates for air suspension systems and heavy-duty products and finishes/crimps air springs for automotive aftermarket (Ride-Rite), heavy duty, and off-highway applications. The location recently experienced a major 80,000 square foot expansion to meet growing demand for advanced air suspension technology and a distribution center expansion to enhance logistic operations and provide scalability for future growth. This major investment of production and logistics capacity, which increases the workforce by approximately 40 teammates, solidified Airide’s commitment to the Dyersburg, TN area. In 2023, the plant received recertification for the Volunteer STAR (Safety Through Accountability and Recognition) award, Tennessee’s highest honor for workplace safety and health, contributing to the alignment with the “Emotion” “Ease” and “Empowerment” values of the Bridgestone E8 Commitment.
